It’s a mystery when you buy a gift for a friend, put it somewhere safe and when you get back home it is has disappeared – Urrrgh!!!!
Over the weekend I bought a small gift for a friend of mine, because I thought it would be a nice thing to do and they would appreciate it. So in-between paying for it in the shop, putting it in a safe place, walking back to the car and driving home it’s nowhere to be found.
I think the universe has been playing a cruel trick on me today.
I have checked the bag I put it in, it’s not there. I have checked the back of the car and it’s not there. I have checked my coat pockets and it’s not there. I then went back and double checked everything again and it’s still not there.
I left it an hour or so and asked St Antony of Padua, if we would be kind enough to assist me. I still can’t find it.
The gift isn’t valuable in monetary terms, but it is unique in its own way, it would have been appreciated in terms of the thought and the gesture.
So I am guessing it must of fallen out between the shop and the car park, which is a 1 mile walk. Unfortunately, I can’t go back to retrace my steps and I can’t get a replacement, as it was a unique gift.
I think the universe has been playing a cruel trick on me today, but hey ho there are worse things going on at the moment to spend time worrying about this. As they say….
